Fred Litcofsky is a middle school music educator and lives in the Wilmington area. He is currently employed in the Colonial School District teaching Band, Music Technology, and Guitar at McCullough Middle School in New Castle, DE. He is also the Assistant Band Director at Mount Pleasant High School. He also a former Volunteer of the Year with the Kalmar Nyckel, the Tall Ship of Delaware. He still serves on board in many capacities including 2nd Mate and ship's Chanteyman helping to pass down nautical traditions and music. Fred holds a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University and M.M. in Oboe Performance from the University of Cincinnati - College-Conservatory of Music. Fred has been a member the Diamond State Concert Band since 1998 and has been conducting the ensemble since 2005. |

On leaveAlthough co-conductor Brian Drumbore will on occasion maintain that he is a world-famous bullfighter, he is actually the band director at Mt. Pleasant High School* in the Brandywine School District. A 1996 graduate of West Chester University with a BS in Music Education, he is now working on his MA in Music History. He joined the band in 1998, playing saxophone and clarinet, and has also been performing with Pastimes Music from Berwyn, PA, since 1994.

| Trained as a classical flutist (flautist, if he's getting paid), Anton Romano joined the band in 1998 on euphonium. With a BS in Music Education from West Chester University, he is currently employed by the Kennett (PA) Consolidated School District, where he works as the band director at Kennett Middle School. He is also an assistant director for the Mt. Pleasant High School Marching Band |

| Robert Baronio has been a member of the band since 1994. He is currently the band director at Springer Middle School and the Assistant Marching Band Director for Brandywine High School. He is a graduate of Penn State University (BS) and has received his Masters Degree in Music Education from Southern Oregon University. He has performed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe with The Dallas Brass, Jay & the Americans, Bob Hope, Allen Vizzutti, Mike Vax, and Eddie Daniels. He also claims to be the World's Greatest Maynard Ferguson Fan and "Polka King." |

Conductor Emeritus | Phil DeFranco became conductor of the band in 1991. A music teacher in the Brandywine School District for 27 years, he was a band director at Talley Middle School and Mt. Pleasant High School. After a stint as Coordinator for the Brandywine School District, he left the area in August 2002 to take a position as fine arts supervisor for a school district in Williamsville, NY. In addition to his teaching, he has been a member of the 553rd Air Force Band of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard serving as Assistant Conductor and Administrative Manager. Recently he was selected as the Enlisted Program Manager for all of the Air National Guard Band Programs in the United States. He is a graduate of West Chester University (BS and MS). |  |

Conductor EmeritusJoe Naff, Conductor Emeritus, has been conducting the band since its inception. A former teacher in the Mt. Pleasant and Brandywine School Districts in Delaware, and with extensive playing, teaching and conducting experience in New York City and Ashville, NC, he is currently residing in Magnolia, DE. Now conducting the band part-time, he is a private studio teacher of French horn and Brass, Adjunct Professor of Music at Wesley College in Dover, DE, and a member of the Capital Brass in Dover. | ||
