Information for New Members

If you're new to the band, welcome! This is some basic information about the rehearsals, concerts, etc.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals go from 7-8:30 or 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. During the school year, rehearsals are at Springer Middle School. During the summer, we rehearse elsewhere. Please check the main page on this site for information.

Concerts

Please follow the link at the top of the web site for information about the concert schedule. During the summer, we usually wear khaki slacks/skirts/shorts with our DSCB blue polo shirts. For winter concerts, we wear black slacks/skirts with our polo shirts. For Hallowe'en concerts, we encourage costumes and, for Christmas/winter holiday concerts, we encourage holiday attire.

Unless otherwise announced, please plan to arrive at each concert venue 30 minutes before downbeat for setup, tuning, etc.

Urgent/Emergency Announcements

On occasion, we have a last-minute cancellation of a rehearsal or concert. When this happens, we do our best to get the word out in three ways:

• Announcements on the main page of the web site.
• Announcements via the outgoing message on the band's information line, 302-792-7070.
• E-mail to members.

Please check your e-mail, the phone line, or the web site before events, especially if the weather is iffy.
