🎷 50 YEARS OF MUSIC—AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 🥁For five decades, the Diamond State Concert Band has been the soundtrack of our community. As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we’re looking for new faces to join our all-volunteer family!We are a group of neighbors, friends, and fellow musicians who play purely for the love of the craft. To help make this milestone season our best yet, we are looking for new musicians (must be able to read music) to to join us.While all instruments are welcome, we have a high priority for:🎺 Low Brass: Trombones, Tubas, and Euphoniums🥁 Percussion: All sections!While we are an all-volunteer group with no formal auditions, our members should be comfortable reading and performing concert band literature. Attention DSCB Musical Maestros! 🎷Band rehearsal season is back — because apparently, the neighbors finally got used to the silence, and we can’t have that.And this year’s extra special… DSCB is celebrating 50 years of music, mayhem, and magnificent free concerts for our community! Let’s make this anniversary season one to remember — preferably in tune.🎶 Flutes: Time to remind everyone that your part does exist — even if it’s mostly eight bars of rest followed by pure panic.🎶 Trumpets: Please, take it down one decibel this year. We know you can hit high C. The entire ZIP code knows.🎶 Saxophones: Smooth as ever… but let’s aim for “cool jazz” this year, not “accidental car alarm solo.”🎶 Tuba: You are the heartbeat of the band — and also the best excuse to skip leg day. Start warming up now so we can all feel those low notes in our souls (and our ribcages).So grab your music, your instrument (and maybe a tuner this time), and bring a friend to join us for the first rehearsal back.
