Attention DSCB Musical Maestros! 🎷Band rehearsal season is back — because apparently, the neighbors finally got used to the silence, and we can’t have that.And this year’s extra special… DSCB is celebrating 50 years of music, mayhem, and magnificent free concerts for our community! Let’s make this anniversary season one to remember — preferably in tune.🎶 Flutes: Time to remind everyone that your part does exist — even if it’s mostly eight bars of rest followed by pure panic.🎶 Trumpets: Please, take it down one decibel this year. We know you can hit high C. The entire ZIP code knows.🎶 Saxophones: Smooth as ever… but let’s aim for “cool jazz” this year, not “accidental car alarm solo.”🎶 Tuba: You are the heartbeat of the band — and also the best excuse to skip leg day. Start warming up now so we can all feel those low notes in our souls (and our ribcages).So grab your music, your instrument (and maybe a tuner this time), and bring a friend to join us for the first rehearsal back. Hello DSCB Fans,We hope that you are trying to stay warm as we brave a cold weekend. As you may know from our calendar, we have a concert tomorrow Holiday Concert @ First Unitarian Church. This will be part of a full afternoon of music as the Keynote Jazz Singers will be performing at 2:30pm before DSCB takes the stage at 4:30pm. While we do hope to perform tomorrow, Mother Nature must be a bit angry at us as we were able to perform at Bellevue State Park and is threatening to force a cancellation. We will be closely monitoring the weather and should we need to adjust our schedule, announcements will be posted here. Hopefully, we can keep Mother Nature away for the wonderful day of music planned for tomorrow. If the weather is good, everyone is welcome to join us.
